Justin&Mariah's Japan Mission Trip

Our calling
As many of you know, Mariah and I have felt a calling to move to Japan for a while now. Mariah was first interested in everything Japanese in early high school, and I've developed a love for the language and for the people over the past couple years. We know this is the path we're being led down, but we aren't sure what the Lord has planned for us when we get there. When we heard about this mission trip with some of Mariah's Japanese contacts, we thought this would be a great way to experience missions in Japan and see if that's what God has planned for us. We would also get the privilege of experiencing the culture before making our big move.
The trip
The trip is to Nagoya, Japan from July 19th - July 31st. In Nagoya, it's extremely likely that people who live there will go their entire lives without ever hearing the Gospel. We will be helping Mission to the Word's Nagoya Church hold a Vacation Bible School for local children! This is perfect because we LOVE children and we both have enough Japanese vocabulary to interact at that speaking level. We will also be bringing with us supplies for the VBS so that they don't have to buy the materials in Japan.
The funds
For this trip, we need $2500 per person. Surplus donations (should there be any) will go towards helping the rest of the team with funding their trip. Here is an approximate breakdown of the costs:
We each need $1500 by the end of March so the plane tickets can be reserved.
