Help Hector and Ita

Our sweet nephew, Hector has been diagnosed with  Stage 4 colon cancer which has spread to his liver. We found a doctor at Slone Kettering hospital in New York City,  which performs a special surgery that puts the pump for chemo right next to the effected organ so they can add a heavy dose of chemo during treatments. They also have to go in and remove part of his liver. Doctors decided to break it down to two surgeries because of the large amount of the liver they have to remove. They want to make sure he has enough liver to rejuvenate.  While in surgery they  found they had to remove his gallbladder. Hector has to go to NYC again in 3 or 4 months for the second surgery.  He also will be flying to NYC for various checkups and treatments. Hector has a sweet 3 year old son and a beautiful wife.  They are expecting another child in April. Liz has been ill during this pregnancy and because of that Ita has been  meeting Hector in NYC every time he returns. During  the first trip  Hector Sr. , Ezra and Ita went along and they rented an apartment for 2 weeks and incurred many expenses for food and transportation. Hector spent five days in the hospital and a week recovering in the apartment before he could return to Georgia.  Ita took an unpaid leave from work which is very  difficult for her as she is divorced mom living on her own. Hector has missed so many days from work, but upon returning  home he decided he had to go back to work as he is the sole provider financially.   This entire trip will be repeated in a few months which is why I felt there is a real need for help. The expenses Ita and Hector have incurred to date truly have been tough. Ita loves her son and daughter and has spent her life caring for Ezra through out her disability, and now is doing all she can for Hector. She works full time and comes home and serves her family.   We are reaching out to all our family and friends to help if you are able. We appreciate all the prayers for Hector and his family. He is trusting God for healing and truly feels the comfort of your thoughts and prayers. Hectors own words of hope  are such an encouragement.  Just a few days ago he spoke to Johnny and asked him how he can pray for us. He is such an amazing person full of integrity and kindness. He loves the Lord and his family. We are very grateful for all your support and prayers during this time.
