Thank you for visiting Ireland’s Call Initiative GoFundMe Campaign and for all of your support throughout this campaign.
As you are aware, our global healthcare system is currently facing a huge surge in demand in response to the COVID-19 virus. In addition to the increasing demand being put on our healthcare system, our frontline healthcare professionals are facing a number of other challenges.
Our frontline heroes require:
1) financial and logistical support to fly home (flights are being cancelled, flight restrictions etc.)
2) accommodation for returning doctors who need to isolate before commencing their work and for those healthcare workers who are already working but living in unsuitable accommodation
3) Practical supports: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation etc.
Ireland’s Call Initiative (ICI) was established set up to raise funds and provide support frontline workers with
1. Flying the Heroes: providing financial and logistical support with booking
2. House the Heroes: We help to connect frontline healthcare workers with suitable accommodation
3. Kit the Heroes: provide practical supports, such as essential PPE (Protective Personal Equipment), transport and any other resources to keep our healthcare Heroes appropriately equipped and supported.
We are a group of Irish businesses and individuals who have committed their time and resources to support the HSE's BE ON CALL FOR IRELAND campaign.
Our Heroes include but are not limited to: Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, the wider Healthcare Team who work tirelessly every day and risk their lives’ so that others can live theirs.
We appreciate that this no small ask - but this is no small challenge. We will need the collective action of many, to support the few that are on our frontlines. Although the challenge is great, Irish individuals and businesses have never shied away from an impossible task or an immovable object.
In addition to staying at home and observing social distancing, there is still a way for you to pull on the green jersey, and stand shoulder to shoulder with our front line and #AnswerIrelandsCall

The funds will be withdrawn by Kevin Sands (individual) and then transferred directly to the Ireland's Call Initiative (organisation) bank account. This is due to the fact that we are an unincorporated entity - and GoFundMe will not allow direct withdrawals to the organisation's bank account.
ICI anticipates that all funds raised and resources donated to it will be fully deployed by the time the project reaches its conclusion. However, to the extent that, for whatever reason, not all monetary resources available to ICI have been deployed by that stage, an onward donation of any surplus funds will be made by FTH to a suitable registered charity or charities in Ireland whose values most closely align with those of ICI.
