Inspired Minds Foundation is a Non Profit public company newly launched in 2016 to raise money, hope and awareness Australia wide for families seeking innovative breakthroughs in Neuroscience research, education and treatment.

Liz and Mark Chamberlain have an adult son Declan who has Autism, Intellectual Disability , Epilepsy & a rare chromosome disorder 4p 16.1 . Declan has benefited enormously from neurofunctional research and therapies. He started receiving additional therapy to enhance his neuroplasticity 10 years ago following vaccine injury as an infant . Declan's Inspired Mind journey continues towards stronger muscle tone and agility & vastly improved intellectual and emotional quotients for a healthy, purpose filled and social quality of life.

Mark and Liz are 'paying it forward' to the INSPIRED MINDS FOUNDATION by trekking for 18 days in June 2017 the Coast to Coast Alfred Wainwright England Trail which begins in the Cumbrian village of St Bees on the west, to the east coast Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire.

The 309km jaunt is rated as one of the world's most beautiful and toughest treks. The walk traverses three of Britain's national parks, while at the same time ascending (and descending) the height of Everest. An average of 25 km a day will bring us stunning vistas to forget aching limbs trudging through deep bogs, lofty peaks of the Lakes District, Helvellyn and the notorious Striding Edge rocky cliff descent. Our pedometer will click over 50,000 step marks on the longest 12 hour walk.

Whatever weather will behold us in June, a keenly plotted route on a GPS gizmo will guide us across large swathes of the journey with few signposts on route. Each evening we will welcome a hearty B&B or village Pub to refuel and attend to field wounds. And standing in the Bay with the sea water nursing our feet, we will feel a wonderful sense of achievement.

Not only for this opportunity to raise money for the INSPIRED MINDS FOUNDATION but also to reflect on our journey with Declan who has challenged us and himself on a journey blessed with life's most beautiful vistas and where few signposts marked the way.
