Help me start Little Bits Workshops
Hi! My name is Andy Donaldson. I have spent the last 6 years working in public education. While there, I discovered a passion for education technology and STEAM learning activities. I have now decided that I am going to share my passion with others who have an interest in learning something new, but might not know where to go, or how to begin. That is why I'm starting my business, Innovative Experiences
Innovative Experiences will offer kids, teens and adults experiences with workshops in arduino, robotics, crafting, 3D printing, textiles, 3D projection mapping, holiday activities (crazy pumpkin carving, ornament making, egg decorating, etc.), and much, much more with new activities coming out all the time. We differ from your local library's Maker space because we offer hands on workshops and guided activities to help you see the potential uses of these skills. As your skills develop, you explore more possibilities and help others to reach your level.
We will also work with our local Maker spaces to develop toys and machines to display and play with to draw interest to the Maker community as well as build passion for STEAM education.
Your donation will be used to purchase a classroom kit of Little Bits . The classroom set consists of 4 Student Sets and will accomodate up to 14 students. Little bits are magnetic circuits where kids can play with and learn about how circuits work and can build working prototypes.
Your donation will be an investment in the education and the future of the community. You will help start a service that is not offered everywhere and can help make a big difference in the way we learn and work together. Thanks in advance for your support!
Andy
