Please help? It broke my heart to hear the news. Indria Pless is a dear woman of God, wife and mother who is the model for support for those who know her. Cancer shows no mercy and it is now her challenge.
She is battling a rare form of cancer, PMP (Pseudomyxoma Peritonei) that has spread throughout her abdomen. Prognosis is poor with life expectancy of 36 months. She will be going to Wake Forrest to see the pre-eminent specialist in a certain treatment that involves Debulking and HIPEC (Heated Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy). Basically, the process involves multiple surgeries involving scraping the interior of the abdomen and then using a hot chemo bath to fight the disease.

Matthew, Indria's husband has been facing his own incredible challenge of fighting Alpha-1 Antitrypsin protein deficiency. Basically means his body does not produce a protein that protects his lungs from rapid degeneration. News that his lovely wife was facing death before him came as a complete shock.
Matthew's illness requires that he inject this protein to fight the progression of this disease that causes emphesema and cirrhosis of the liver at a very early age even without smoking or drinking. This is a heriditary disease, and yes their son Jon-Luke is Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficient as well.
In all this, would you expect among the tears to hear them praising God for all His goodness? Of course, because you know them. Indria and Matthew live as beacons of hope knowing we are all marked "Terminal."
But they have this hope,...the Father is in control, and He will be glorified in their lives.

She lavishes grace, love and mercy on her family. She sweats in the desert with food drops for Matthew and his crazy friends.
