It is a massive leap in bridging the gap in both Indigneous people and sport within Australia. Indigneous Australians are known to have extrodinary talents in the spectrum of sport, however often fall short due to the limited access to resources. Unfortunatley, that bridge is still amongst us in the football federaiton of Australia, with the approval of the team, however with no funding.
It comes as a large dissapointment to all selected participants in the First ever team, as most players cant afford to travel overseas, with limited notice and financial support. This achievement is more then a personal goal for all selected, however a massive achievment within our culture and people, and also our communities! Sport brings our culture together and this is a massive leap in bringing various Indigenous communities together to overcome sport obstacles within Australia and predominatly soccer within Australia.
All the support would be greatly appreciated and would mean the world to the team and I.
The team is due to travel to NZ from january 13th to 22nd 2018, however without the support of our family, friends and community, may not have the opportunity to do so!
