Corona Crisis: Indian Workers Need You

Donation protected
My friend Chittranjan Dubey is an IT Consultant from New Delhi and currently working in Munich. After a visit to India he was not allowed to return to Germany due to Covid19. Stuck in New Delhi he started donating food to Indian wage workers affected by the pandemic lockdown.

Chit's Story

First I donated on my own. As I ran out of money and started asking friends. We raised small amounts of money together with our colleagues, and the project started growing. Now we have established a network of volunteers in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Fatehpur, Morigaon, and Keonjhar.

But India has over 100 million daily wage workers, that are too poorly paid to have savings. And as the lockdown goes on, the less privileged are running more and more out of food. That is why we need your help!

For what are you donating?
Our Corona Volunteers are buying grocery items to compose food packages, wich they deliver to as many of the daily wage workers as they can. A package normally contains:

- 2 KG rice
- 5 KG wheat flour
- 1 KG lentils
- toilet soap
- detergent powder
- cooking oil
- salt
- sugar
- spices
- potatoes
- onions
- masks

and milk. Each package costs ca. 7 Euros. Also, we distribute free masks on the streets and donate little amounts of money to single mothers and differently-abled people.

We need you!

Wage workers are the ones who suffer the most and forgotten in such times of crisis. They need our solidarity and deserve respect.

Help us to buy food packages and masks for Indian wage workers. For just 7 Euros you can help a wage worker get trough more than a week of corona crisis - or you can donate more and help their entire family. Let us ensure that no one is left behind.

DEUTSCHE VERSION
