"Sincere Greetings,
On Monday September 18th while on work assignment in Alaska, I received the worst news ever; My daughter has been struck by a vehicle. We fought with faith for six days but eventually the worst possible scenario happened.
Tiana Ariel Davis. Princess Tiana, Tee-Tee, Pana. Beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Words cannot properly describe the void that has been forever etched into our hearts by her sudden passing. Her beautiful smile, contagious laugh and endearing personality are among the few things that made Tiana so special. Her Life was a precious gift from God to our Family.
Tiana was born to Anneve and Keniel Davis in the midday hours of November 3rd, 2002. Partially delivered in the elevator of the Hospital, Tiana was very anxious to enter the world. A very precocious baby, walking and speaking before her first birthday, Tiana was a handful. There was no High chair, crib or playpen that could keep her captive for long.
Tiana was fun loving and outgoing. She saw laughter in everything no matter how serious the occasion. Whenever her cousins or siblings would suffer an ailment, Tiana would ensure that they saw the humor in the situation. She was the reason no one wanted to remain sick for long. The fear of Tiana creating a nickname for you was ample inducement for a speedy recovery.
Her fun loving personality was not however known to all. Only close family and friends knew Tiana’s crazy side. She was more reserved at school except whenever she was with her best friend Shatara. She was a meticulous and a brilliant student. She enjoyed learning new things, completing her homework on the day it was assigned and relating to all the interesting new fact she had learned that day. School was crucial to Tiana. It was place she could sparkle in the spotlight of academic success and be rewarded.
We can recall once Tiana mentioned her friend Shatara and her Dad questioned Shatara’s grades which was not up to par. Tiana was told that she could not hang out with anyone with poor grades but Tiana defied her dad’s order and assisted her best friend with her academics and today Shatara's grades are much improved.
At a very early age, Princess Tiana realized that extra income could be gained by securing high grades. As a true entrepreneur, she didn’t waste any opportunity to goof off when it came to her studies. Instead she would notify her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that at the end of the academic year her “A’s” were to be rewarded in cash. She would utilized her extra cash to purchase the most sought after snacks and sweets by the case at wholesale price and resell each item to her siblings, Aunt, cousins and friends at a profit. Even Mummy or Daddy had to pay retail price if they wanted one of her items. Business was Business.
Her natural flair for business was uncanny for her tender age. She knew how to negotiate, persuade the customer and to never sell below purchase price. She constantly spoke about owning her own Real Estate Corporation upon graduation from College. Her corporation would span three continents, North America, South America and Europe.
Tiana was one of four children but her impact on the family was beyond the norms of a kid and her short stay with us here on earth will forever live in our hearts. She will remain as an angel, a guide and a drive to carry on in this unfair world."
