A couple weeks ago Alfredo was your average high school student who loved to play sports, draw, and make everyone laugh. Today he is facing the biggest fight of his life. Alfredo Colin was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many immature lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell).
He is currently being treated at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles CA. He was never one to get sick or ever visit the doctor. Needless to say, this cancer diagnosis was a huge shock to our entire family. There is no sicentific explanation as to how (ALL) develops, although, (ALL) can be treated it requires a 2.5-3 year treatment plan.
During this difficult time, Alfredo will undergoe numerous chemotherapy treatments, transfusions, medications, physical therapy ect...He will need full time care, limiting school attendance and also limiting his parents hours at work. Alfredo's mom will have to quit her job in order to take care of Alfredos needs, this will significantly lead to a reduction in income. The Colin family could use your help with some of these expenses. If you had the opportunity to meet the Colin family you would see that they are the most humbled people I know.
