Marathon in memory of Del & Gnana

Dear friends,
You are all aware of the tragic loss of Gnana Nagarajah and Del Singh, who both died in the bombing of the Taverna du Liban restaurant in Kabul, Afghanistan recently. Gnana and Del were our close friends and colleagues and we have been thinking about appropriate ways to commemorate their lives.
Del had registered to run in the second Bethlehem Marathon taking place on 11th April 2014. The race is designed to draw attention to Palestinian freedom, a cause that Del strongly supported and for which he worked tirelessly. He had participated in the inaugural race in Bethlehem in 2013 and the Gaza marathon in 2012.
In memory of both Del and Gnana, two of Adam Smith International's employees, Alastair and Iain, will run the Bethlehem marathon in April. We will use this opportunity to raise money for three causes - Del's memorial fund, the Setara Girls' School in Kabul, and - guided by Gnana's family - an organisation to provide support and opportunity to the most vulnerable with which Gnana strongly identified.
