Study Abroad in Costa Rica
Donation protected
I'm a freshman attending Xavier University of Louisiana,--a historically black university--majoring in chemistry pre-pharmacy and minoring in Spanish. My goal is to become a bilingual pharmacist that will allow me to reach a broader spectrum of people. Over this upcoming summer, I would like to attend a study abroad trip for four weeks in Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica, I will learn medical spanish for health professionals. The program includes five credit hours towards Spanish, 75-80 hours of clinical practicum, living with a host family, three meals a day, and laundry once a week. This trip will be a great benefit to my academic career, giving me the hands-on experience I need for my profession, includes my focus in Spanish, forces me to speak Spanish more fluently, and allows me to experience new adventures. In addition, I will obtain my minor in Spanish by my sophomore year of undergrad. Any donations will help lift the financial burden off my parents and I since I don't have any financial aid available to assist in the payments. A full payment for the trip
is due April 15. Thank you for taking the time to invest in my endeavors.
