Dear Friends of SPGP,
I am once again looking for your help as this store is in dire straights, and I don’t know how long I can keep the store afloat.
-Supply chain issues leave customers disappointed week after week when their items don’t show up, and there’s nothing I can do about it.
-Supply chain problems = lower sales and lost customers
-Friday night our store was broken into, stole all our electronics and smashed two pane windows - so that’s a deductible I can’t afford.
And the bills are piling up:
1. Replacing two pane windows from the break-in.
2. Fixing a leak in the ceiling that comes from the vent in the ceiling (because I’m responsible for the inside of the store.)
3. Fixing/Replacing the 35 year old heating system
4. Rent is $3,918 until 2025, and it’s getting harder and harder to keep up. The lease doesn’t cover any of these repairs.
I addition to this, I won’t be able to pay taxes of 5,600 which are due tomorrow.
This store was my dream. I sold my neighborhood house to cover medical debt from my cancer as well as my husband’s cancer, and I used the proceeds to purchase this store and start over. On a personal note, my rental house is being sold and I need to find a place for me and my boys by May 1.
I am looking at my options and the outlook is bleak. I’ll be forced to find a buyer or sell off stock and shut down. I pray it doesn’t come to this, but in the meantime we’ll be here for you as long as we can.
The first gofundme allowed us to upgrade our register and inventory system, and I am forever grateful for your support. I will keep the doors open as long as I can.
