The IYF Mexico Mission Trip is a short-term volunteering
initiative centered on teaching English to the youths of Mexico. Through a unique and diverse blend of
language learning and developmental programs, volunteers have special
opportunity to present the English language and American culture to the Mexican
students as a greater world of hope emerges. Volunteer instructors will lead students to meet and
overcome their barriers and limitations, which will give them the experience
and confidence to speak English long after the camp is finished. Volunteers will also discover the true
life of a volunteer: living for others.
Although, it is difficult for us to take 2 weeks off from
work, and even miss some of our college classes, we stretch beyond our comfort
zone as God is leading us to become people of faith through the programs of the
IYF.
We may seem like pitiful people now but we have been
instructed to not focus on who we are today, but to have hope in who we will
become tomorrow.
