What is the Shell Eco-Marathon?
The Shell Eco-Marathon is an international competition to be held this year in Sonoma, California at The Sonoma Raceway. Sponsored by the Shell Corporation, students from universties and high schools alike compete to design and build the most fuel efficient car possible.
Who are we?
We are the Shell Eco-Marathon team at IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis). We are a small but determined team of engineering students, who have chosen to dedicate our free time in pursuit of furthering our education and broadening our experience as engineers.

The Shell Eco-Marathon at IUPUI is a student organized project focusing on providing students with hands on experience in design and fabrication. We emphasize general professional practices such as communication, teamwork, and problem solving.
What have we accomplished?
As a team this will be our third year competing. Noteably at the 2017 competition in Detroit. We made history as the only team from the Americas to ever compete and place using a Compressed Natural Gas engine.
What are our goals?
1.) Design and build a competition ready vehicle.
2.) Compete in the Shell Eco- Marathon competition to be held at The Sonoma Raceway Park in Sonoma, California
The donations we receive from GoFundMe will be used to purchase materials needed to fabricate and assemble the vehicle, as well as provide aid in transporting our vehicle and team to the competition site.
Those who donate $100 will have their name as a sponsor printed on the team uniform to be worn at the competition.
Those who donate over $250 will have their name as a sponsor printed onto the vehicle during the competition.
We plan on closing this campaign on the March 1st, 2018. Time is of the essence! Help us to achieve our goals thank you!
