IDEA South Flores MUN Trip to DC
Donation protected
Model United Nations (MUN) at IDEA South Flores College Prep provides the opportunity for all students to learn about international affairs, world events and the United Nations, while also teaching students peace and conflict resolution, effective public speaking, good communication skills, and the importance of diversity, equity, cultural competence and personal identity development. ISF MUN represents the school at local, national, and international MUN conferences.
In just a few short weeks, twenty 8th-10th grade students from IDEA South Flores College Prep hope to travel to our nation's capital to attend the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN) conference run by Georgetown University. For many of our students, this will be there first time out of the state of Texas, their first time on a plane, and their first time interacting with students their age from other communities. Our students have been working really hard to prepare to represent their school and their community at this conference by researching, writing position papers, and practicing giving speeches.
If you are able, your donations will go towards purchasing our plane tickets to fly from San Antonio to Washington, DC. Thank you so much for your support!
