I am Boston born, Boston bred and Boston proud. There is no other way to describe me. I am passionate, fiercely loyal to my friends and my family and, most of all, my city.
For the last ten years, I have also become a runner - though I use that term loosely. I love to run as it makes me feel energized and happy. Not living in Boston right now, it is hard to help the victims of the Boston Marathon tragedy. I feel helpless but feeling that way would let the bad people win. I choose to win so I choose to do what others were doing when the bombs blew - I run.
I am running a race this coming weekend (a local one that I had been planning on all along) - a 10K - and I am asking folks to donate a dollar for ever kilometer that I run. All proceeds will be donated to a charity benefiting the victims. As I do more races, I will update folks so they can donate more money if they choose. Every dollar will help so please give what you again.
