IMPD Mounted Patrol needs your help.
Francis "Jake", a 13 year old Percheron/Appaloosa Cross, 11 year veteran of the unit, has been diagnosed with skin cancer on a sensitive part of his body. After multiple attempts to rid him of this disease, it is at the stage where he needs an invasive surgery to remove the body part to allow him to work and protect Indy for many years to come.
The IMPD Horse Patrol is asking for your assistance to cover the vet bills for this surgery, allowing him to have a healthy life and continue his career.
We also want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and kind words during our mourning period for Fred. It is now time to move forward and we are also asking for your assistance in purchasing a new horse to get us back up to a full stable.
