IGNITE the Community- MASKS for healthcare workers

At IGNITE Dance Connections, we feel called & very honored to be able to help our country in this great time of need.  As a local manufacturer, we want to step up & help make much needed equipment for our healthcare workers in this current Coronavirus crisis.  This comes at a cost in terms of labor, materials, & supplies that right now many organizations, including ours, are absorbing.  We are doing this at our own cost & have had an overwhelming number of people in the community reach out & offer to help with expenses to cover some of this which is so kind in these times.  Especially after realizing there was such a huge demand for these masks in larger volumes, the requests keep coming & we want to continue to help.  This has become a passion project for us as we have found ways to make over 300+ a day.

Our hope in setting up this GoFundMe page is that you might join us to cover the costs for us to IGNITE the Healthcare Community & Keep them Safe.  Everyday healthcare workers and first responders who are on the front lines, risking their lives, every day, as well as elderly in nursing homes that need protection.  

If you would like to donate, here is a place where you can.   Please note this is not tax deductible as a charitable donation because as a company we are required to pay taxes on the incoming funds that help us offset our expenses.

We partnered closely with the national Million Mask Mayday’s AMAZING Minnesota chapter to understand what our healthcare workers needed. IGNITE is making 2 types of critical masks— cloth masks & fabric N95 covers. We have purchased fabrics, repurposed dancewear production lines, and we continue to pay sewing staff in these tough economic times (while practicing social distancing of course).
