Hello everyone,

I'm Ewood, a British-French singer, actor, and dancer based in London. I am raising funds to create a powerful documentary/film focused on suicide awareness and suicide prevention in the UK and France.

My first single, "I Don't Know" (listen via the link below), will serve as the soundtrack for this project. The song is about facing your demons, grieving, forgiveness, taking responsibility for your actions, and fighting for a better life. This project is deeply personal to me—I know firsthand the pain of losing a loved one to suicide and the struggles of living with depression and dysphonia. Through this film, I hope to help others who are struggling and to honor those we have lost.

Film Soundtrack

Our documentary, "I Don't Know How I Feel," will shine a light on the realities of mental health, with a special emphasis on suicide prevention. We aim to offer hope, practical insights, and resources that can truly make a difference in saving lives. The film will focus especially on young adults and those navigating difficult times, but its message is for everyone.

Mental health is incredibly important to me, and I believe it must be prioritized—before we can care for others, we must care for ourselves. Our society faces widespread challenges: suicide, depression, mental breakdowns, burnout, toxic environments, bullying, sexual abuse, and anxiety. These issues affect people of all backgrounds, regardless of wealth, gender, or race.

"I Don't Know How I Feel" will feature a diverse range of speakers sharing their stories and experiences with mental health.

Among the guests; there will be :

Steve Phillip

He lost his son Jordan; he committed suicide in December 2019. Steve created a foundation and raise Awareness on Suicide Prevention.

Kasia Halani

She lost her son Jakub on February 2, 2023; he committed suicide. Kasia advocates for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention with her charity.

https://jaksworld.org/

Agathe Lemaitre

She lost her sister. She wrote a book; The Book of Liane.

The book is available on all platforms.

“The diaries found in her sister's apartment after her suicide allowed Agathe Lemaitre to put her grief into words. The Book of Liane is a moving story to free speech." Agathe is an activist against School Bullying.

As the narrator, I'll guide viewers through the film's powerful message. To make this project a reality and bring it to a wide audience, we need to work with a team of professionals, including camera operators, a director of photography, lighting and sound experts, editors, and producers.

To cover the costs of these essential team members, as well as filming, the editing process, promotion, travel, and accommodations for guests outside of London, I'm seeking to raise £30,000.

Your donation will make a significant impact on this project and help us bring attention to the critical issue of mental health.

Self-Funding and Transparency

I've decided to self-fund this project using my earnings from my work as an artist. However, despite my best efforts, I need additional support to bring this documentary to life. I want to assure you that I will maintain complete transparency regarding every aspect of the project's finances. You will receive regular updates on how your contributions are being used, ensuring that you're always informed about the impact of your support.

Why Your Help Matters

While I'm committed to covering a significant portion of the costs myself, I genuinely cannot do this alone. Your contributions will be instrumental in helping me cover essential expenses.

Every donation, no matter how small, will bring us closer to sharing this important story with the world.

Join the Journey

By supporting this documentary, you are helping to raise awareness, break the stigma, and advocate for real change in suicide prevention. Your involvement will help raise awareness and support those who are struggling. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that this critical issue remains at the forefront of public discourse.

A high-quality TV documentary with a running time of 90 minutes can range from tens of thousands to several hundred thousand pounds or even more. Here are some potential cost considerations:

Key production costs to consider:

Crew costs: A standard 3-person crew (camera, sound, producer) could cost £1,000-£1,500 per day.

Director of Photography: £450-£850 per day.

Editor: £250-£650 per day, with editing time for a 90-minute documentary estimated at 9-12 weeks.

1. Pre-production: This includes research, scripting, storyboarding, and planning. Costs for pre-production can vary depending on the complexity of the subject matter and the amount of research required.

2. Production: This involves shooting the documentary footage, which includes expenses for crew, equipment, travel, permits, location fees, and any necessary props. The number of shooting days and the size of the crew will impact the overall cost.

3. Post-production: This phase includes editing, sound design, color correction, graphics, and sometimes animation. The complexity of the post-production process can significantly affect the cost.

4. Narration and voice-over: If you plan to have a narrator or voice-over artist, there will be additional costs for hiring a professional voice actor and recording studio.

5. Music and licensing: Acquiring the rights to use music, archival footage, or other copyrighted materials in the documentary may involve licensing fees.

6. Marketing and distribution: Once the documentary is complete, there may be costs associated with promoting and distributing it to television networks, streaming platforms, or film festivals.

I'm reaching out to everyone for support in making this documentary a reality.

Your contribution means the world to us. It's essential that the film is of professional quality and fit for broadcast. I'm eager to start filming as soon as possible.

Please take a moment to listen and watch my interviews below, where I discuss the documentary. My goal is to raise awareness and have the film broadcast on television in the UK and France , as well as used to benefit teenagers in schools across the UK and France.

Ewood

Steve Phillip
