My name is Miguel Hernandez and I live in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
We started an Intel and Logistics team that is feeding information to several Non-Profit organizations like Foundation for Puerto Rico and the United Nations Chaplains Association. This is for the purpose of helping them know where food, water, and other vitals resources are needed to help people survive.
I originally started this GoFundMe to get the money we needed to cover our operational expenses.
Since then Foundation for Puerto Rico took it upon themselves to fund our operation, this fund is now dedicated to covering my personal expenses and growing our Intel and Logistics Team so we can reach the island faster.
Since I lost my business due to the storm the only way I can continue to provide voluteer services for free is if I can acquire income from this fund.
The information we are gathering and sharing to these Non-Profit organizations is saving lives. It is vital since the communication network in Puerto Rico is not functioning proficiently.
The people who will directly benefit are the Municipalities that are furthest away from the Metro area in Puerto Rico.
So these funds will power a larger staff of volunteers to go into all 78 Municipalities across Puerto Rico:
1) Establish communication with the Mayor of each Municipality.
2) Record all pertinate data to be relayed to the Non-Profit organizations currently seeing to aide the most affected areas and maintain this communication by making consecutive trips until communications are established again.
3) Assist in bypassing the buracratic system that is endangering more American lives.
4) Checking on the ongoing status of the residents of each Municipality.
The funds will be withdrawn to my account to feed the operation directly.
We need the funds now! The more we have the faster we can reach out to all the Municipalities.
