Send Matt To Engraving School
Howdy, My name is Matt Castello and I am an old fashioned hand engraver and this is my story and why I have come here to ask for your help.
Almost two years ago I took up engraving. I was on the "rebound" from a broken neck and accepting the fact that I just couldn't do the work I had done for so many years in the marine industry. So I sold everything I had of value that someone would buy to purchase the bare essentials I needed to start engraving. Now here I am coming up on my 2nd year of doing it all on my own with no formal teaching or help from what I have found to be a very tight lipped community. The one guy that actually gave me some good advice just so happens to be one of my favorite if not my favorite engravers Jeff Parke! Which brings me to this, GRS Engraving School is offering a class taught by.... JEFF PARKE!!! I would LOVE to go to this class as it will be dealing with many of the techniques and styles that I have been struggling to learn on my own but just can't afford the added expense with a new baby and living on a very thin fixed income. This course is designed to add character, value and dimension to my work which will ultimately transfer to the work I do for you.
Below I have itemized the cost for the trip to the GRS Training Center in Emporia Kansas for this class.

The enrollment for these classes starts December 1st and I hope to at least secure my seat. The class dates are Aug 27-31 2018.
I have already spoken to Jeff about signing off on my pre-requisites and he has agreed since he has seen my work and now it's up to us to make this dream a reality! I can't explain in words what this opportunity would mean to my family and I but I hope to show you through my work.
