Well, I am having a riot in the studio making this Christmas CD.
My friend and creative consultant, Dack Quigley stepped in to record an Awesome Christmas Classic with me!
Here I am mixing vocals.

I gotta say, this recording is shaping up to be something incredible.. And how awesome that it is serendipitous, arriving from my desire to earn enough to finish my next commercial release in the studio in St. Louis and make a music video..

Tonight I will be singing on the street in Big Bear. The folks up here are so awesome and generous. It is a real treat to be able to play traditional holiday songs in the middle of the village!!

I am releasing my new single and EP in February. This is the best product I have ever made and the closest to my heart! I have a huge plan for the release including social media, a grassroots tour, and music videos.
Right now, I have yet to secure the next round of funding from traditional investors who want to own a piece of my brand or my songs (and thus the royalties) for life, so I am turning to my fans and support network of friends and family.
I am best suited for making and performing the music. While I am very good at marketing, making/being the product is my specialty; and while I am good at raising finances, the process can be exhausting, scary, emotionally draining, and distracting from the creative process.

I am scheduled to work with another engineer to complete this track yet this month. I have come up with ridiculous perks to make your holiday contribution fun and worth your while.. Check out my Christmas MP3 collection or go for the Short Run release of a homemade CD autographed to whomever you choose.. Or send me as a singing telegram to anyone online (I will record a video specifically for the person of your choice).. My $5,000 goal buys me another 60 days of pre-production in my own studio, sessions with another engineer to professionally re-record my vocals, mastering of the levels of my tracks, and video supplies for my social media campaign and music videos. The majority of these funds must be raised by Dec 19th!!
..Should I exceed this goal in this one campaign, that would ROCK because ultimately I will am raising a pretty big budget for the release in February!

I do this all on high speed! In order to stay on track I must achieve this $5k goal within 12 days... That is when I have scheduled my session to master the track just before Christmas. Of course, if you know me, you know this is not the only solution I am putting effort into. =P I am very committed!

This GOFUNDME campaign empowers me to keep my eye on the prize, keep my attention in the studio, and to keep the creative juices flowing rather than switching gears completely, abandoning the creative side, and focusing on business meetings with investors.

My music has a poignant, socially responsible, empowering message. This music is a gift I am so grateful to have been given. To regift it to the world is the greatest blessing of them all.
