Medical Mission to Utuado P.R

Donation protected
In recent events, the country of Puerto Rico has recently suffered a terrible devastating tragedy by the effects of hurricane Irma and Maria. The current state of Puerto Rico is considered to be at apocalyptic loss.

It is estimated that 1.6 million households have had no electricity for weeks now. As of now, 42 of the 69 hospitals in the entire island have no sort of power still mostly due to lack of diesel fuel to support their generators.

All major satellite transmitters and phone operators have been entirely out of power. The majority of the population have no contact with the outside world and are unable to communicate their needs in time of relief, nor are they able to inform their loved ones abroad  that they there are safe, or alive.

Here is a recent video of the city Utuado. It really shows the 'cry for help' that these people need:

56 % of the islands population has no safe drinking water except that of running streams from the mountains or water from the rain. Shortage of water is an extreme desperate stage.

Everyday basic human necessities such as shelter, food, medical supplies, and fuel are becoming scarcer. Elderly, terminally ill, pregnant and expecting medical patients are suffering in despair as well as potential death without proper medical accommodations.

Puerto Rico is in a severe current state of crisis that threatens the very lives of its citizens. Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States located in the northeast Caribbean Sea. All Puerto Rican citizens share American citizenship since 1917.

Realistically the most imminent assisting and rebuilding of Puerto Rico will take several months up to a year. Serious renovations of land formation and geographical recuperation will most likely take several years. Because of the previous impending debt crisis in Puerto Rico, the realistic rebuilding of the island will create more economic despair and controversy.

I am creating this go fund me, to directly provide imminent care and support to the people of Puerto Rico as a gesture of solidarity, and alliance with the country of Puerto Rico. This GoFundMe will serve as a personal 100% non-profit organization that will serve to assist the island and people of Puerto Rico in its dire time of need.

Donations to this fund will serve to cover costs of all of the following:

·         Medical Supplies

·         Medical Coverage

·         And any other essential living needs for the our fellow citizens in Utuado

It is predicted that if more attention and national help isn’t brought to assist Puerto Rico, the island as we know it will cease to be Inhabitable or all citizens. This is a matter of historical humanitarian crisis.

Our goal is to make the most out of our upcoming Mission in Puerto Rico to help provide much needed care in every way that we can. We are a group of 13 coworkers who got together and discussed topics on how we can do our part to help those in need of this cause. After many discussions and ideas, we decided to head out to P.R on November 10 to November 14 to give a hands on humanitarian medical mission.

We are organizing a Humanitarian Medical Mission trip with a trusted group of disaster relief organizers, volunteers, and medical practitioners! We are hoping to bring direct Medical Care and support to the Utuado community especially in rural areas of this town.

Together we can make a difference by contributing to those in desperate need of our help. Anything is greatly appreciated. We are hoping to raise enough money to be able to provide medications needed for them and assistance to the local hospitals. With your help we can change their lives for the better.

We cannot take all the credit for this relief trip coming up as we are already receiving assistance from the following organizations that are helping us:

1.       Dr. Vanessa Raices

2.       Dr. Angel Comulada

3.       Foundation for PR a humanitarian non-profit organization its helping with logistics and referral.
