Saving People In The Carolinas

Hi, I am Ashley Huff. Wife and mother of two. This is my husband, Joel Huff, from Ringwood, Illinois. He wants to help those in need from the recent hurricane to hit the Carolinas. We have some friends and family out that way, but we will help anyone that we can. (Update: Joel has met up with a church that has accumulated a list of people that need help. The church divis out the volunteer work daily.) While he has the necessary tools and equipment, your donation will help him get down to the Carolinas from Illinois (gas/fuel) as well as provide those in need he meets along the way. (Update: Joel and his friends I have purchased some respirators to work in homes that are now covered in mold. They've also bought several building materials like drywall and tarps to help repair destroyed roofs, interior walls and floors). As a loving, strong, healthy American, Joel believes it is important to help others and while he is able, he would like your help to make this possible. Of course, your whole donation will go towards getting Joel to the Carolinas and helping the folks there. He will remove fallen trees, provide folks with tarps or food, use his tractor to remove debris; whatever it takes to help whomever he meets along the way. Joel is a carpenter by trade and currently owns and opperates a tattoo shop. He is trained in first aid and CPR. We have two young children, Bodhi and Holiday, and live on a small farm. My husband will bring an able-bodied man along with him (update: two friends, Scott from Illinois and Jeff from Virginia) and plans to go for a couple weeks as soon as the storm passes. (Update: They left Monday, Oct. 1st) On a flatbed trailer, he will take our utility tractor along with many other tools and equipment like chainsaws, ladders, gas tanks, and tools.
