Hurricane Harvey THEN House Fire

Donation protected
My name is Ryan Hurst, I live in Vancouver, Washington, and this GoFundMe page is on behalf of my Aunt Brigitte Hurst & her daughter Temperance, who live in Houston, Texas, who lost everything  after surviving the Hurrican Harvey, they lost it all in a freak accident, when one of their neighbors townhomes caught fire and spread so quickly that they were lucky to get out alive with the clothes on their back.

On the early morning of September 9th, 2017, just days after surviving Hurrican Harvey, a fire claimed 16 townhouses and my aunt Brigitte's was amongst one of those townhouses. Brigitte Hurst and her 7-year old daughter, Temperance, have lost literally everything - they barely escaped the inferno with only the clothes on their backs. Anything helps to get Brigitte's and Temperance's, life back on track.  Even if you aren't able to make a monetary donation, thank you for your consideration, and if you can share this with your family and friends THAT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

There's nothing like being challenged by nature, and being witness to your aunt's family's world (and her neighbors) as they all know it literally burns before their eyes, just days after being some of the few blessed enough to tell their story of surviving Hurricane Harvey.

It's apparent that she hasn't lost her abilities to always be giving thanks for the little things, even when that's all that is left - She and Temperance are beyond thankful for those blessings bestowed upon them, even amongst the ashes - they still have their lives, they are alive, and nothing can keep any of them from being able to thrive!

Aside from this obvious GoFundMe fundraiser for Brigitte and Temperance, if you have clothes, blankets, new/gently used bedding, young girl clothes/toys they are all greatly appreciated.

Brigitte and Temperance have 2 cats that eat wet food fancy feast and Purina cat natural dry food in the green bag and would love some kind of cat scratcher/tree, cat toys, etc. Their sweet cat, Tonk, had to be hospitalized after being stuck in the fire/rubbish for 5 hrs. Luckily, he should be ok.

Brigitte's friend Jenaia Leffel has been kind enough to offer her house as a safe drop-off area for any/all donations in Spring, Texas and/or is willing to meet you to collect your donations in person.

If you want to donate via amazon, please reach out to Jenaia Leffel via Facebook and she will share her address to send the donations to.

Thankful for the firefighters for being able to rescue 2 priceless possessions - ironically enough one of those items being her sister's urn of ashes.

While love will go a long way, everything ever owned by my aunt's family, under that roof, has been burnt to a crisp, leaving them without any of their belongings, nor a place to lay their heads - the same can be said for 15 families affected by this 1 fire; and all those that weren't as lucky in surviving Hurricane Harvey.

With that said, I will state again that ANYTHING HELPS to get Brigitte's and Temperance's, life back on track - AND AGAIN: Even if you aren't able to make a monetary donation, thank you for your consideration, and if you can share this with your family and friends THAT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
