House Fire ILA Local 1809 Member

Donation protected
Late in the afternoon on Friday, April 15th, 2022, Pearline Bennett's home, an NYSA-ILA Employee Benefit Funds (Local 1809) employee, caught fire in Queens. She lives there with her husband, daughter and granddaughter. Pearline was preparing dinner when the fire alarm went off. As she rushed upstairs to the second floor, her bed had caught fire and quickly spread, damaging the entire home. All occupants made it safely out of the residence. As of right now, Pearline and her family are staying in a hotel. Their family home will be demolished and rebuilt. It is estimated they will be out of the home for about a year.

As devastated as the Bennet family is by this tragedy that tore down their home and all of their belongings that held so many memories, they are beyond grateful to everyone that has lifted them with support through this tough time. You are giving them hope and strength.

Please find it in your heart to help donate to this family as any donation counts.

Please keep Pearline Bennett and her family in your thoughts.
