As a certified arborist, I rely on my body to work, and have spent a long time getting it in the shape to be able to do what I do very proficiently.
This morning, an injury happened in the most unexpected of ways (not tree climbing), that has shut me down from being able to work.
My Wife and I just moved to North West New Jersey 6 weeks ago, after answering a spiritual calling to move away from where we grew up.
Of course I got busy right away and began building a little tree care company here in our new home! We're waiting for our new home to be ready, so we've been staying in a hotel temporarily.
I won't go into "slander," mode here, but while trying to shoo my 2-year-old into one of the entrances, the door slammed into my Achilles tendon (between calf and foot) and severed it by about 60%-70%.
Upon inspection, I realized that the part of the door that made contact was an uncovered, piece of sheet metal, made jagged by friction with the concrete floor over time.
so here's the Problem ...
this week was my first big push, and it was the week that was going to get us all caught up from all of the money that we spent ... and it was completely booked!
My family has been through enough over the years with my crazy business antics, and now here I am beating myself up that now I can't even provide for my family, AND there's nothing I can do about it!
I'm making this a short gofundme, because we need the money sooner than later to avoid getting kicked out of the very hotel that caused my injury!
here's what I need ...
-6 weeks (estimated recovery period) of living expenses at about $6K/month, so about $9K
- Tana & Patti Mossa
- David Woodal
