Update: Josie's father has passed last night in the hospital.
A week ago, Josie rushed to Peru to be with her father who was hospitalized for an emergency operation to save his life. He is still in the hospital in intensive care and the doctors are giving him a 20% chance survival rate. At the moment, he is not responding to antibiotics and his kidneys are failing. Josie and her brother are by his bedside 24/7.
As you can imagine, the costs for an unexpected hospitalization in Peru, and with such a complex surgery, can be extremely costly, so to ease some of the financial burden for Josie and her family, we have created this donation page. Thank you.

I am a close friend of Josie and work with her at Estée Lauder. I have been in close communications with her throughout the days. The funds are intended to cover the costs of the hospitalization and other costs, as she and her brother sort through other expenses they now face. Once we hit our goal (or as much of it as we can) the funds will be delivered directly to Josie and her family.
