My Biology Internship in Spain

I am writing to ask for your support for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study biomedical research in Madrid, Spain! I was selected to represent the University of New Mexico's Biology program, along with seven other students, and am planning on embarking on this two-month journey at the end of May. I will be staying on campus at the University of Alcala, and submerging myself into a completely new culture and language.
As I am near to completing my Biology degree with a minor in Chemistry, this internship will help open many doors into a potential career field or further academic program. This biomedical research internship is the beginning of a very exciting chapter in my life, but I can't do it alone. The final hurdle I must overcome is covering the tuition, housing, meals, and airfare. Altogether, the trip will be about $6,000. This is a big number for a full-time college student; however, the experience and knowledge I will gain will be worth so much more.
With your help, I can make this studying abroad trip possible. I would like to ask you for support in making this happen. I know times may be financially tough, but I would appreciate any help.
