<div>We're seeking support for my lovely mother in her challenging battle against Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Over the last six months, our family has faced an increasingly challenging journey, marked by numerous emergency room visits and the vital support of home care. The weight of this experience has felt like a bad dream but we're working hard to provide her comfort and peace while we navigate this horrible disease. Thank you for taking the time to read. Before diving into the fundraiser, here's a brief overview of my mom's cancer diagnosis history:

<div>In 2013, Sara confronted her first encounter with breast cancer—a <strong>Stage 1</strong> diagnosis that prompted a brave decision for a double mastectomy following with 8 rounds of chemotherapy. In 2018, breast cancer reoccured, leading to a <strong>Stage 2B </strong>diagnosis with the cancer spreading throughout her right chest cavity. Once again, she embarked on the demanding path to recovery, facing additional surgeries and enduring 32 rounds of radiation. Even with the hardships thus far, and throughout each chapter of her journey, she never wavered in her fight, embracing life to the fullest!

<div>Now, in 2023, we find ourselves confronting the words that no woman ever wants to hear: <strong>Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer.</strong> This is a new battle, one that brings its own unique set of challenges and uncertainties. At times, we feared her kidneys and other vital organs may fail, but she persevered through a summer of surgeries with remarkable strength and we couldn't be more proud of how far she has come since the initial diagnosis!

<div>Throughout her remarkable journey, she has demonstrated an unparalleled level of positivity, hope, and resilience that serves as an inspiration to us all. Her spirit remains unbroken, and her resolve undiminished. Sara is not only a fighter in the face of health challenges but also an amazing individual with a heartwarming personality. Her sense of humor, undeniable wit and warm nature serves as a light for those fortunate enough to know her. As a loving mother, caring sister, and cherished friend, Sara's uplifting spirit touches the lives of many. In her community, she is not just a neighbor but a source of support, embodying the true essence of compassion and strength. She is a beacon of hope for her loved ones and for countless others who draw inspiration from her. Together, we stand by her side as she faces this new chapter of life, ever hopeful for the future!

<div>Our goal is to raise $35,000 to support Sara in her battle against cancer. This includes covering the monthly cost of her chemotherapy medication, which amounts to $2,060 per month. Additionally, we aim to alleviate the financial strain caused by accumulated medical bills from the past year of treatment, including numerous extended hospital stays, surgeries and other necessary medical supplies. Your generous contribution will help ease the financial burden on our family during this challenging time.

A percentage of the donations raised will be donated to the <strong>National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF)</strong>, an organization dedicated to providing assistance and instilling hope in those affected by breast cancer. NBCF focuses on early detection, education, and support services, aligning with our belief in a collective effort to combat breast cancer EARLY! We care about the women in our community and we want to instill this life as a lesson for many others. Get checked early, get checked often!
