Miss Bonnie's Cancer & Medical Care

Donation protected
This is our Mama, Bonnie. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago and struggling with relatively uncontrolled, constant pain and progressive debilitation, our Mom really tried to maintain a great attitude and outlook on life. Then, she spent nearly a month (October-November 2013) in the ICU at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio and was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. She has nearly given up, not because she wants to, but rather because she feels like there is no financial hope. This is no reason anyone should have to feel hopeless and helpless... especially with a husband, 5 children, and 6 grandchildren (and countless others) who love and need her

Bonnie is 64 years old, so she does not qualify for Medicare yet. We are exhausting all options trying to find financial aid solutions and care for her. Her medical bills have reached several Hundred Thousands of dollars, but we are NOT giving up on her. The most important thing to us, at this point, is that she is given proper care going forward, that she is able to attain whatever positive outcomes she can, and that she can be as comfortable and as happy as possible. She needs to be under proper Oncology care ($1200 just for the consultation), and her Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments will range in the $250,000 range, not including Radiologic testing. On top of all of this, she now having issues with her kidneys and liver. We are doing everything that we possibly can to find solutions.

Our sweet Mama has been loving and amazing to everyone around her and has Always been everyone else's caretaker. She is everyone's counselor, caregiver, and friend. She has always been a prayer warrior and a champion for God. She has blessed all of those around her with her words and her love. Her family and friends think that she hung the moon. It's Our turn to do whatever we can to take care of her.

We are not people who even know how to ask for help very often, but it has become abundantly clear that this is much bigger than anything that we can begin to tackle on our own. We know that times are hard for everyone. We just have to try do whatever we can to pull her out of the darkness and let her know that there IS hope and ignite her faith to move forward... even if that means letting go of some pride and simply asking for help. Any and all help would be more than appreciated. If you cannot donate monetarily, we desperately ask that you provide your thoughts and prayers. We have grateful hearts for anything you can give to see this Lady touched, lifted up, and healed.

Thank you for the prayers, love, and financial support! It is humbling and we are truly grateful! <3

All our love and advanced thanks,
Bonnie's Family
