OUR MISSION STATEMENT

“Hoo” Haven is dedicated to rehabilitating and releasing, sick, injured and orphaned, North American Wildlife. And to educating individuals to the importance of the conservation of Mother Earth, to maintain the land, clean and beautiful for all.

 

Hoo Haven has been intaking American Bald Eagles scene 2004. In the last 8 years we have intake 80 Bald Eagles. In the state of Illinois we are a main resource for the Department of Fish and Wildlife, DNR , State Police and Animal Control Facility’s.

 

When a Bald Eagle gets injured medical can cost any where from $500 to $3,000. We also have the daily cost of operations.   The daily cost of feeding meat and fish each of the Bald Eagles eats about a pound a day. Currently we have 6 Bald Eagles on site.

 

Hoo Haven is a 501c3 that runs only off donations from folks like you. We get no state funding; we have no contracts with any state, local or government facility’s. All Bald Eagles intake from DFW, DNR or State Police are cared for strictly off your donation. We are 100% volunteer ran with no paid employees at all and have been this way for over 30 years.
