Meet Bobby- One of our dear clients. Meets us for weekly meals. We helped him transition into apartment living, and welcomed him into his new home with a warm, home-cooked meal with our outreach team. We give our clients, a familial like support system. This is in many cases, the first time our clients ever experience a sense of family, support and compassion. They tell us, they finally feel " like we matter"
Mae Organization's mission is to empower and support the homeless children and adults through therapeutic holistic programs aimed at facilitating in the healing of mental illness and opioid addiction for all individuals wanting to change their lives out of homelessness.
Our goal is to open the Mae Wellness Center we will care for and work with homeless children and adults facilitating the healing of mental illness; depression and anxiety coupled with opioid addiction, through holistic therapy modalities. We will provide a place of respite where healing and empowerment will be our focus through various programs such as; art therapy, equine therapy, agriculture, caring for farm animals and cooking. We currently deliver hotmeals, clothing, toiletries, tents and aid in transitioning into apartment living on a weekly basis. Our outreach team is on the streets weekly providing compassionate outreach all through volunteering efforts.
We are grateful for your financial support. With your help, we want to purchase a Mae transportation van and open our center in 2018! Please help us help the homeless of RI!
