Santana Seeks Safe Shelter in Steelville
Please help us bring this dream to reality:
Over the years, Santana's Hope 4 Paws, non-profit animal rescue 501(c)3 organization has had the dream of an actual shelter for the homeless pets in their community. A place where we can keep the pets groomed and vetted; a place where they can run and play in a large outdoor fenced area; a place where volunteers can work with the rescue dogs to prepare them for their forever homes. Unfortunately, the current city pound is in a flood plain and is nothing more than a dark, overcrowded cinder-block shed with little ventilation.
Santana's Hope 4 Paws has been a 'Friend of Steelville City Pound' for over five years. Together, they have rescued, cared for and homed countless dogs and cats in our community. The non-profit has and continues to raise money for spaying and neutering; as well as, vaccinating rescues so they can be ready for adoption.
Recently, Santana's Hope 4 Paws has joined with the city of Steelville MO to raise money for a brand NEW Rescue Shelter in conjunction with a NEW City Pound. In addition to monetary donations, we are accepting supply contributions and we'll need plenty of neighbors and friends to volunteer their time and labor for construction of the new facility.
