                                            Home for a Homeless Veteran

Home for a Homeless Veteran is a new non-profit organization and our goal is to provide a home for homeless Veterans across the United States. Our Veterans that have been in combat, some of them have seen and done things that are very traumatic even to the point it causes physical, emotional, spiritual and in most cases psychological harm over time. When you think about traumatic events people, respond and deal with them in different ways. Today we have come to understand and know it as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is a traumatic sometimes life-threatening experience. After being in the military myself it is sad and very disheartening to see and know that so many veterans return from combat feeling disconnected from society. The things they have seen and been through sends many Vets drifting without direction. Many of them use drugs and abuse alcohol because this is the way they are able to cope with what they have been through.

Mission Statement:

Our ultimate goal is to enhance the quality of life for our homeless veterans by helping them get the home they need and deserve.

Vision:

Our vision is to provide our homeless Veteran and their family safe and affordable housing, which in return will help them to get back to a productive and meaningful life.

1.1    Description of Services:

Provide housing services necessary to help our veterans get off the streets. The veterans of today and yesterday all deserve our support because of their service to our country and the sacrifices they have been through for us. House a Homeless Veteran Foundation was formed to combat homelessness that affects our vets and families across the United States. We will be doing this by going to all 50 States and giving a homeless Veteran a home, which in return will give them a new start in life, and help them to be able to cope with their problems a little better.

1.2    I want to start traveling from State to State staring on the 3 December 2020 and around that time each month after that. I will be getting with the management of the shelters in each State to identify the Veteran they have there, which they feels needs a hand with getting back on track. This process will take up to 5 years to complete with going to all 50 States but the mission is to help at least one Veteran in every State to achieve and enjoy a better way of living.

2          To care for them who went off to combat and for their love ones.

As we all know America has long provided for retired and disabled veterans in recognition for their sacrifices they have given to our country. As a veteran myself we hear too often that we are here to support you and when it comes down to it, we as veterans find ourselves all alone fighting with the VA Hospital about our rights and medical issues. Home for a Homeless Veteran Foundation wants to let the Vets of yesterday and of tomorrow know that there is someone here really fighting for them. We as veterans hear so much about all the freedoms that Americans have today because of the sacrifices we have given but when it is all over with we as Vets feels like no one is really supporting us. I have been over in the Middle East and to other parts of the world and I have seen firsthand how our Veterans are living. Therefore, I want to do something for our Veterans and I want to start by traveling to all 50 States and help to get one Veteran off the streets. If I can complete this mission with your help, I feel like we have succeed in letting our Veterans know that we as Americans understand the sacrifices that they made and we care. So many all around the World the many men’s and women’s who gave their time and some even their lives to preserve the freedoms granted by the Constitution, and all they want in return is life when they get back home. Lot of times we find ourselves facing eviction from our homes once we return from a deployment. At times, defendant on what we have encounter, some have lost their family to include their wife and kids. This begs the question as to why some veterans are so bitter. You too, make ask yourself that same question. How you would feel if you put your life on the line for the Country that you love and when you got back they shut the door in your face. We always say we have not forgotten the debt we owe to these veterans then let us show them. The goal of the Foundation is to provide a Veteran with a home using the donations that come in for them.

We all have to understand that the majority of people are only a paycheck away from being homeless themselves.
