On April 11, 2014 my dear friend/sister was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Crystal was hospitalized and required spinal surgery to repair her C4 cervical vertebrae that was damaged by the cancer that metastasized. The surgery was successful and Crystal has been released from the hospital, she has a long road ahead of her which will include additional procedures, radiation and possible chemotherapy treatments.
Crystal and her husband Jason have three beautiful children, Grant, Julian and Amelia.
Crystal, Jason, their families and the doctors are exploring all of the next steps. Due to the requirements for Crystal's care, Jason will miss significant amounts of work and we do not want their family to suffer anymore than is necessary by worrying about finances. The support shown so far has been overwhelming and much appreciated. This race is a long one. Crystal has an amazing support system and her faith is unwavering. We thank you all for anything you can give.
