Comics & Hip-Hop in the Classroom.

Greetings and love to all taking the time to read this.
(I have a special picture at the very end of this post that sums up the importance of this personal project, so please take a *closer* look!)

My name is Brandon, I'm a highschool teacher, a father of two beautiful baby girls, and I have a deep love for reading, history, and Hip-Hop culture. I have over 10+ years of (public) education experience, in various school districts across the state of South Carolina. My whole life has been dedicated to educating youth from various backgrounds and ages.

I have big dreams of creating a new curriculum to excite and engage the world about my passion. This curriculum will be developed for use both inside and outside the traditional classroom.
On top of this, I have currently been given the task of teaching African-American history without access to any textbook or extra resources. I am THANKFUL to be given the opportunity to teach this class (another lifelong dream) and I have great ideas that will RESPARK our future generations love/passion for both history AND LITERACY. I am an 'outside-the-box' type of teacher and I believe with YOUR HELP we can change many lives for the better. I firmly believe when our youth know their history, they will have a much deeper connection/respect for themselves, those who came before us, and more respect for the human race as a whole.

It is my intentions to raise enough funds to promote the importance of Literacy/History/Hip-Hop Culture through an unorthodox curriculum that includes the infusion of contemporary text, graphic novels, poetry, historical documents, film, and Hip-Hop! :-)

Through the use of YouTube, I intend to document this journey from its beginning stages and to share this curriculum with the world! This is why I'm also including video and laptop equipment on this GoFundMe List...
This will provide for high quality video and audio for all the world to enjoy these lessons.

If you choose to support this endeavor, you will be proud to know that you have personally taken the step to positively affecting/assisting the life of a young person and fulfilling the lifelong dream of teacher. The purpose of this curriculum is to challenge, engage, and create positive action to make society a better place to live.
YOU will be updated every step of the way!

I was always told to dream BIG! So I'm swinging for the fence with this one. This is why my supply list is so extensive. If you are not able to help (financially) but still want to support somehow, you can show support on your social media outlets. Spread the word! Moral support is just as important as financial support!

**YOU CAN STILL GET THIS PROJECT TO COMPLETION BY SHARING THIS PAGE ON YOUR PERSONAL SOCIAL MEDIA. THANK YOU!**
