The HHC Online Social Network

Because you are reading this, you are considered a valued member of the Hip Hop Congress network, founded in 1993 as a small network of artists that evolved organically into a 501c3 nonprofit organization in 2001, establishing over 70 school and community chapters across the globe in just under a decade.  HHC has continued to empower individuals through the collective experience of its network in the fields of music, education, entertainment and social justice.

The early success of HHC was built on the personal dedication of its diverse constituency: People of all backgrounds who shared a belief in the power of Hip Hop culture to uplift communities.  The challenge was coordinating the grassroots movements emerging virally across the globe at a time of massive social upheaval and technological growth from 2001-2010.

As the original HHC stakeholders matured in age and influence, a new infrastructure was needed to further connect young individuals and allow them to develop into the thought-leaders of today.  Many were empowered to find personal success on their own in the absence of a National HHC Strategic Business Plan.

2018-2020 marks a new era for HHC to provide a technological platform and support structure to become a globally unifying force in communities across the planet, thanks to the visionary feedback of many who defined the HHC experience at its inception.

Expanding on the success of its original mission, which allowed individuals to organize themselves as autonomous chapter collectives, HHC announces the development of an online social network that will provide members with its best support resources for artists, educators, activists, and youth.

This campaign will also produce the comprehensive web-code for a state-of-the-art communications system through Sitebase, LLC that will allow HHC chapter collectives to connect with teaching artists, performers, and affiliate organizations for many years to come...

...as soon as the national funding goal is reached, we need 4-6 weeks to complete the Products Requirement Document (PRD) that we will use to build the site.   We hope to have our beta-site up and ready-to-use in 2018!
