Hershey's mom needs your help!

My name is Hershey. I am making an appeal on behalf of my mom, Carmen.
This week I was rushed to hospital, I was in a lot of pain and I couldn't walk anymore. The doctor told my mom I had something called IVDD (Intervertebral disk disease). Us miniature dachshunds can develop it because we have long backs but only little legs.
The doctor said if I wasn't operated on within 24 hours the damage to my spine would become permanent and I would never walk again and may have to be put down :-( But if we operated immediately, my prognosis would be good and I may recover by 90%.
I am in hospital now recovering, and the doctor says as soon as I regain control of my bladder, hopefully I'll regain the use of my legs and I can go home! :-)
Don't worry about me! I'll be fine! But my mom needs your help!
I'm so lucky to have a mom who loves me so much she would give the clothes off her back to keep me safe.
Unfortunately she sort of had to do just that.
The operation cost $6,500. She had to take out a loan to pay for it, and I know she is already struggling to pay off really big student loans.
She wouldn't ask unless she was desperate, but absolutely anything you can do to help her, even $5, would be hugely and forever appreciated.
I will personally give a Hershey's kiss to everyone who donates! (I might need a lift up)
