Herman Arnold Schmidt was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and a devoted member of Hephatha Lutheran Church. His faith was demonstrated in the kindness he showed to those in need. Herm’s family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given to Lutheran Social Services.
He was a strong supporter of Lutheran Social Services and served two terms as Chair of the LSS Board of Directors.
Most people only think about food pantries and clothes closets when they hear LSS mentioned. We do provide emergency services in numerous ways to multitudes of people. But we do a lot more to serve Southern California.
There’s a mission field closer to each of you than you can realize, and Lutheran Social Services is already there.
