Henry the Boxer

We are trying to raise money to help our friend after the sudden unexpected loss of Henry, her young Boxer dog over Christmas.

Henry has been really poorly recently and began to have seizures. Over the past few days he has deteriorated and has become really unwell.

He was admitted into hospital on boxing day and saw a neurologist on 29th December who performed an MRI scan. The scan showed a large tumor on the left side of the brain which was causing him unnecessary pain.

Radiotherapy would have given him a year at most, and it was highly likely, the tumour would return.

With all this took mind our friend had to make to heartbreaking decision to put Henry to sleep whilst still under general anaesthetic from the MRI.

This was the kindest way to help Henry and meant that he didn’t have to suffer any longer.

Henrys Mum has done everything she could to help Henry and reduce his suffering. Money was no object because he was her baby.

The MRI alone has cost £4000 but has meant that they were able to diagnose Henry’s tumour and stop his suffering.

There is never ever a good time for this but Henry falling ill on Christmas Eve has made it that much harder. 

We are trying to come together to help our friend and this heartbreaking time. We have put together this gofundme page  in an attempt to help in the smallest way and try and give Henry’s Mum one less this game to worry about.
