Henry Brother Kayak Voyage

Having paddled all our lives and spending as much time as possible exploring our own corner of the Pacific Northwest, this trip embodies the challenge that we both crave and fear. True adventure is rare these days in a world of insurance liabilities and guided tours but this is our opportunity to set out on a journey with so many intangibles it is hard to fathom. 

Not only is this journey going to change our lives, we hope to use it as a tool to inspire. Outdoor adventure is a unique and incredible thing. It is a learning experience unlike any other that builds skills in problem solving, perseverance, and getting along with your brother. Having worked with youth in the wilderness as outdoor guides for many summers we have both seen first hand the powerful impact this experience can have on their lives. While growing up together we have been blessed with the freedom to explore our environment and challenge ourselves. From this freedom we have grown into confident young men with strong abilities as outdoor leaders. We love to see youth getting outside and believe it can heal wounds, turn someone's life around, and influence a healthy environmentally aware lifestyle. 

We want to share our passion for the outdoors, kayaking, and tripping with youth by telling our story at schools and other youth organizations upon completing the trip. As confident public speakers with a great story to boot, we believe our presentation can have an impact on our audiences. If just one kid spends more time outside due to our talks we will have succeeded. Our trip will be the adventure of a lifetime and we want to inspire youth to get started on their own.
