Help Me Get Back To The UK

Donation protected
Hello.  Here our current status in this and thank you for reading!

We started this campaign earlier this year when I was told I was going to be deported and we needed help offsetting the legal bills to stop the deportation.  The process was not stopped and I was detain, put into a detention centre and weeks later deported.

We we filed our appeal and waited for the results.  After 7 months we got an an answer and it was not good, I was denied entry.  We met the relationship, financial and language requirements but the NHS said I had a debt of £3626 for medical treatments I received from February 2012 thru September 2014 for my diabetes.  I was considered an overseas visitor during this time even tho I am married to a citizen of the UK.

Our solicitor has been great throughout this process and has been very understanding concerning the legal fees but now we have another fee and per our solicitor, the Appeal Tribunal will want the NHS debt to be almost totally paid off if we expect to get a positive result.  Paul and I are both cutting back so we put more aside to pay this off but we are not sure it can be done by the appeal. I guess the NHS thinks everybody has that amount of money just laying around.

We are both staying positive and we know in our hearts we will be together soon!

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for your support and positive thoughts!

Ten years ago I met my future husband while I lived in Atlanta, GA in the States and he lived in Derby, UK.  We traveled back and forth across the Atlantic for 4 years and one night at dinner we realised we were wanted to live together, so we decided to get married.  Same sex marriage was not an option in the States or the UK, so we searched where it was possible.  We found out we were able to marry in Toronto, Canada and since it was a member of the Commonwealth, I would be able to move to the UK with a spousal visa.

We were married 20 March 2008 and when my visa was approved a few months later, I moved to Derby with only 2 suitcases to be with my husband.  In 2010 we applied for my next visa but it was denied.  We thought the problems had been resolved until a few years later when I was arrested in April. I was released while my case was reviewed but was no longer allowed to work.

We don't like asking for help because we both prefer to pay our own way but this circumstance is not what we were expecting and more costly than we can afford at this time.

Thank you for reading this and if you decide you would like to help....THANK YOU!!  We appreciate any assistance we receive and will be forever thankful!  I will update this as things occur.
