Helping My Nephews

As many of you may have noticed I have new additions in my daily life; my three wonderful nephews have joined my ranks!  They are Mason 11, William Grayson 4 and Braydon 2.  I have stepped into the full-time position as their guardian or Auntie Dede to them.  The nurturing portion of my new role such as: love, patience, persistence, energy, determination, friends, family and community I am handling like a rock star! (As you might have expected  ) When it comes to the tangible things that can only be handled with money I’m in a bit of a bind.

I have applied for government assistance, I have only been approved for daycare assistance. Unfortunately, like everything with the government… it doesn’t happen overnight. Currently I am paying for the children out of pocket on a salary meant for myself and possibly 2 but definitely not 3 growing boys.  I have many kind friends and family that have sent grocery cards, clothes and even bedroom supplies and I am very grateful. I know there are situations worse than mine which makes it hard for me to ask for the help.  However, I have confided in friends and family about this and everyone supports me making this page.  

In order to do extra activities with the boys, as well as provide necessities I need some help.  These vibrant growing boys have their own things in mind and all though they are extracurricular things I still feel very strongly that growing children need activities, music and art to become well rounded individuals.  I would love to be able to put them in at least one extra activity. Mason wants to go to baseball camp and gymnastics is a must with his gymnast type abilities he already has. Will Gray, which is what I call William, has dreams of being an astronaut and a boxer but for now I think we’ll stick with football!  Brayden is so smart he's going to be great at just about anything. He has been approved for medical assistance in speech/language so once we get him squared away with words, sports are in the horizon. 

I know I can make an impact and improve their lives and I am coming to find out how much the boys are impacting, improving and changing my life!!
