Hello Everyone,
My name Audrianna and I'm 9 months old, I will be 10 months old on the 1st of Feb! My mommy took me into the doctors for a regular 9 month check up, to get weighed and to see how my growing development was coming. While my doctor was checking me over, she felt a hard bump in my lower abdominal area. My doctor thought that I was just backed up, so we took an X-Ray that day to see if we could see anything, those results came back nothing, so the doctor ordered for me to go in and get an ultrasound done. We had the ultrasound on the 20th of January, when they started the ultrasound it was the first thing we saw and the techs instantly started to get a little worried.
We had another doctor at the hospital look over the ultrasound, then he came back into the room and told us we are suppose to go over to the clinic ASAP... Mommy was already worried as it was, now it was worse. The doctors tried to break it to us easy but that didn't work out to well, we come to find out that I Audrianna have a baseball size tumor in my abdoman. They told us that the childrens hospital in Sioux Falls was waiting for us to arrive to get further testing done. We had to run alot of tests on me, like a ct scan, a MRI, and a MIBG test that showed us my tumor. When we got all the results back from the doctors, we got good news from them. It showed that my tumor is just in one spot and it doesnt look like it has spread anywhere else in my body.
The doctors are starting to talk about surgery and when we are able to do it and what they are able to take out. We are hoping that they are able to take the entire thing out and then we would have recovery and then we should be able to go home.. I'm 9 months old and i'm a trooper! All fundraiser money would go towards unpaid medical bills, travel expenses since we are far away from our home.
