Helping the Hinson Family

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Albert Hinson and I am asking for your help in raising money for my families monthly needs. In short, 5 years ago (July 2007) I was diagnosed with FAP a pre-cancerous polyp causing disease. I had my colon removed and a j-pouch created using the last 12 inches my small intestine attached to my exit. In the summer of 2010 I went in for a hernia and fistula (leak) repair, it was discovered I had Gardner's Syndrome which causes non treatable, non removable Desmoids tumors to grow around, close off/shut off, and kill my small intestine along with other internal organs, nerves, and muscles in my abdomen. I was given a life expectancy of less than 2 years which by a true miracle I have passed by 4 months at this point and as long as the tumors stay dormant, I should be able to. I am unable to work and was approved for Disability in January of 2011
Hunter had his colon removed June 21, 2011 and a j-pouch created. He had a temporary ileostomy until his take down around the 3rd week of September. He has ongoing issues with the connection of his j-pouch and exit which require monthly dilatation with resection of recurring scare tissue

Stephen went in August 30th to have his colon removed, j-pouch created and a temp ostomy created. Currently he has an Ostomy, which he is planning on keeping for now. Takedown surgery to remove the ostomy has been put on hold both by his choice and his lack of insurance and our inability to pay for the surgery. Stephen started at Hinds and has just completed his 1st semester.

Tyler our 3rd son age 11 has not been confirmed to have FAP. We met with a Geneticist last summer and he did not hold out much hope for him not to also have FAP. We will be having him scheduled for a Colonoscopy in the spring.
Because of my last surgery in 2010 I have what is called "short gut" they removed about 10% of my small intestine, disconnected 80% leaving me with only 10% to live on, this causes me to need to eat something at least every 2 hours. Having only a 18 inches of small intestine and no colon it is a constant struggle to have enough energy just to do normal daily tasks. Our colons and small intestines are what our bodies use to extract the needed nutrients to survive from the food we eat. We make to much to receive food stamps(we where getting them). I have been to a couple food pantries and will continue that.

We do not have car notes or credit cards, we have basic bills and all the needs of a normal family of 5.
Please if you can help with regular monthly gifts of any amount that would be great but if all you can do is a one time gift or even every now and then we would be forever grateful.

1st let me say Thank you for your time with this and your money.

The most important thing you could do is Pray for us!
If you would forward this to your friends, share it on your FaceBook page and e-mail lists that would be very appreciated.

God Bless you!!
