Help Lucky Fight Leukemia (CML)

Lucky is 39 years old and was officially diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer, called Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), on September 7, 2013. He is currently undergoing treatments at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. CML is a type of Cancer that never goes into remission, but will go into a chemically induced state with the use of Chemo pills and other medications. Lucky gets tested monthly to see if the Chemo is working. When he was last tested it was in a chemically induced state and we were so excited that after trying 3 different Chemo medications it was finally working. On September 7, 2014 we were able to celebrate; Lucky had survived a year of Cancer and the medicine was doing its job. Unfortunately when he got tested again this month the test came back and the Cancer is showing up again in his blood. He will be retested again in November and we are praying for the best.

We are trying to help Lucky raise money to cover some of his medical bills and other expenses, so that he doesn't have added stress to his life and worry about money at a time like this. Lucky is a fighter and very prideful and doesn't like to ask for help. CML is a life long chronic disease and he has his semi-good days and his bad days, but you would never know it by his attitude. He always has a very positive attitude and when he is down he does a good job at hiding it behind his dry sense of humor.

Lucky is looking forward to spending many more years with his wife, spoiled dog, family and friends. While he is still healthy enough Lucky would like to be able to travel to a couple of places and experience life as much as possible. Unfortunately at this time Lucky's medical expenses are keeping him from being able to live life to the fullest. We would like to ask that you help him with his fight against Cancer.
