Help for Tonya Sahlstrom

Tonya Sahlstrom is a mother of three young boys, committed wife, loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin and true friend. She has always endeavored to do right by all of her family and friends and has led a life of kindness and generosity. It is now time for us to reciprocate these qualities to her in her time of need. Tonya was diagnosed with Stage Three Breast Cancer in August of 2013. It is an aggressive form of cancer and will warrant intensive treatment for months to come. She will be undergoing chemo-therapy, followed by removal surgery, and then ongoing radiation treatment, all of which may cause her to become physically weak. However, she is a strong, courageous woman and we have no doubts that her astonishing will and positive spirit will remain unscathed. These circumstances have brought us all immense concern, yet we continue to remain hopeful. As Scott is the sole provider of his family of 5 and taking off work, which he is not compensated for, we are hopeful for some help!! In addition to this, until Tonya was diagnosed with breast cancer she had no insurance. Medicaid has stepped in but they pay very little for her treatment the family will ensue overwhelming out-of-pocket medical fees, coupled with the cost of gas for transportation to and from treatments is insurmountable for one family alone, no matter how determined. So the time has come for us to come to the aid of this phenomenal woman. She continues to maintain an immense bravery which will carry her through even the worst stages of treatment, but any sort of financial aid that we can provide her will make a world of difference. Anything you are able give, small or large, would be wholeheartedly appreciated.To some the goal might look over whelming but that is only a fraction of the cost. I had to put an amount for the goal but our goal is to collect as much as we can for them. Please, post a message to the page,we will be passing this along to Tonya. From the family of Scott and Tonya we would like to say thank you. They are an amazing family and this situation is very life changing. We appreciate everyone that is making meals for them,helping with the children,donating,praying for them and most of all taking time out of your own lives to support them. We are forever grateful.


Through this difficult time we have realized that they have the most amazing friends. In life you hope to come out with one amazing friend, they have several. Thank you all!


We love you all and remember things are just things. Living your LIFE with FAMILY and FRIENDS is the most important.
