Help Vikki Fight

My sister Vikki Blount is in a fight for her life. This journey started in the summer of 2013 when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in her uterus called Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma. This diagnosis resulted in a complete hysterectomy and six weeks of radiation. Our whole family thought Vikki was in the clear, but six months later she received terrible news. Not only has cancer come back, it has spread to multiple locations and is more aggressive than before. Due to the rarity of this cancer, Doctors in Cincinnati recommended Vikki seek out a specialist for this specific type of cancer. This led Vikki to the MD Anderson Center in Houston, Texas. The Doctors at MD Anderson not only provided a different treatment regimen, they provided hope. They were also able to coordinate her treatment through her doctors here in Cincinnati. 

 After Vikki returned home, she began to experience additional complications due to the aggressiveness of the tumors. These complications required additional surgeries to help alleviate some of her complications, but delayed the chemotherapy which she needed. After six weeks from her second diagnosis, she was finally able to start her chemotherapy. 

 Vikki's form of sarcoma is very rare and very aggressive. She has a long tough battle ahead of her.   This is extremely hard not only on Vikki but as well as her family.   I want to start this fund to help them with day to day expenses, the growing medical costs of this ongoing battle and her travel expenses between hospitals.  Vikki will be traveling back and forth between Cincinnati and MD Anderson in Houston TX.
